Key Responsibilities
- Action the Material control processes
- Raise purchase orders and call-offs
- Liaise with Logistics Parts co-ordinator to support decision ranges sorting lot sizes, stocking levels and policies for area of responsibility
- Monitor the MRP generated order recommendations;
- Expediting of orders to meet customer requirements
- Follow up on Late Orders from Suppliers
- Support production during core business hours
- Manage inventory of parts to minimise risk of obsolescence.
- Inform Production Planner in a timely manner of potential shortages of Build critical Parts.
- Liaise with Quality and Purchasing teams with regard to product quality issues and returns
- Give regular, accurate and timely feedback to relevant stakeholders on delivery issues through escalation process
- Participate and encourage team members.
- Manage additional workload requirements to accommodate New Product Introductions or major changes to the product.
- Ensure compliance with VCVA's Environmental Policy, Workplace Health & Safety requirements, and in general take any reasonable steps and precautions to protect or minimise harm to the workplace, its employees and the environment

Risk Management and Compliance
- Manage risk and compliance in area, including ongoing identification of material risks
- Monitor and ensure adequate risk management and compliance processes are in place
- Contribute to strategic risk management and compliance activities, including ongoing risk identification and mitigation
- Ensure that senior management and your team have a good understanding of the material risks
- Implement and monitor controls to manage risk
- Maintain and oversee all systems of internal control in risk management and compliance systems
- Ensure key legislative requirements are met and changes to legislation are communicated
- Promote a company-wide risk aware culture

**Who are you?**
Qualifications & Experience
- Working knowledge of material control including MRP and JIT systems
- Sound computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability of initiative
