As Brisbane continues to be the fastest-growing Australian capital city, so does our thirst for cultural experiences. Our iconic Precinct is poised to become Queensland's home of contemporary art and culture with a growing portfolio of festivals and events. To complement our current offering, Brisbane Powerhouse is in an exciting growth phase where we will bring art outside, expanding our precinct and creating a series of external venues for performance, film and feasting. Our new spaces include:

- Pleasuredome; a semi-permanent magnificent ivory-sailcloth performance venue
- An Outdoor Cinema: a year-round cinema that features blockbusters, arthouse screenings, film festivals and concerts combining film and live performance
- Night Feast; a month-long celebration of food and art in Brisbane Powerhouse's forecourt and surrounding parks

**The Role**

In this newly created role, the Event Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Events and Production teams to ensure all Brisbane Powerhouse events are executed to the highest standard. This role will provide customer-orientated audio-visual support and troubleshooting while ensuring accurate and timely event setup, tear down, and coordination of additional staff for events where required.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- A general knowledge of technical production areas, including Sound/AV, Lighting and Staging
- High level of computer literacy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and commitments
- Experience managing staff
- Well-developed communications skills with the capacity to liaise successfully with diverse clients, both internal and external, providing high-quality customer service
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift objects
- Availability to work flexible hours and days, including early morning, days, evenings, and weekends
