Brisbane Powerhouse is seeking a talented Partnerships & Development Coordinator to work alongside our Partnerships & Development Manager.

In this role, you will be crucial in cultivating and maintaining relationships with external partners and sponsors who share our passion for advancing our mission and programs.

A magnificent power station of the 1920s reborn as an arts centre on the Brisbane River (Maiwar), Brisbane Powerhouse is a destination for contemporary culture and art.


With over 1,750 performances and events each year, we offer a program of music, theatre, comedy, dance, film, visual arts, in-conversation, and the digital arts.


Brisbane Powerhouse features two main stage theatres, three smaller performance venues, gallery spaces, two restaurants and bars (
Bar Alto and
Mary Mae's Bar + Kitchen),
Powerhouse Store, corporate facilities and one of the best river views in Brisbane.

Brisbane Powerhouse produces significant festivals and events, including
Brisbane Comedy Festival, MELT Festival,
OHM Festival of Other Music and
Night Feast.


Brisbane Powerhouse is a Brisbane City Council-owned venue.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the administration of the partnership portfolio
  • Coordinate delivery and tracking of partnership agreements, invoicing, and obligations. As well as the delivery of partnership benefits, including ticketing redemptions, venue use, marketing activities, content creation, acknowledgments, and unique engagements
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including marketing, programming, and events, to ensure seamless execution of partnership campaigns inclusions
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, presentations, festival reviews and reports for partners and clients
  • Work with Partnerships & Development Manager to communicate regularly with partners, including invitations, monthly partner enewsletters and programming information.
  • Management of partners, prospects, and critical stakeholder databases
  • Coordination of hosted and invitational events for partners, prospects, and key stakeholders, as well as attendance and cohosting responsibilities (supported by department colleagues)
  • Create seating plans, run sheets and speaking notes for the key partner and stakeholder events for the Brisbane Powerhouse Board, CEO/Artistic Director, Executive Team and Management when required
  • Provide support for research and the identification of leads for new partnership approaches
  • Assist with fundraising strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Provision of timely information, service, and support to partners
  • Provision of administrative support
  • Attending afterhours events as a representative of the Brisbane Powerhouse
  • Other duties as directed commensurate with the level of this position

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Experience and/or appreciation of the arts and culture
  • Experience in marketing, preferably with practical knowledge of managing partnerships or collaborations
  • Excellent time management, administration and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver work to a high standard with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and emergent situations within conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation and with our patrons, partners, supporters and stakeholders
  • Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working within a highperformance team

Qualification/Licences

  • Tertiary qualifications or studying toward qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in place of formal qualifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing and event management.
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced computer literacy across a range of software packages.
  • Understanding of Asana, Microsoft Office 365, Artifax, SharePoint, Teams, and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems (desirable).
