**What you'll be doing**

The Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 (CNS2) sits within the Youth Mental Health Team a clinical stream of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The CNS2 role follows first episode principles and interventions within an assertive outreach model of care. Clinicians manages a case load, specifically young people aged 12 up to 24th Birthday identified as experiencing early psychosis. Clinical interventions incorporate evidence based practice, with a focus on early intervention and recovery and family/carer
support.
To promote cultural change regarding Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service within (specifically first episode psychosis) within CCLHD including General Wards, Emergency departments and Mental Health Inpatient Facilities.
The CNS2 is required to engage in service development and evaluation, staff education and student support and participate in the physical health monitoring and depot administration of young people.
