The Procurement Governance Lead is responsible for provision of expert advice to DEECA staff, including delivery of a broad range of procurement and contract services to ensure compliance to the Victorian government and departmental procurement policies and procedures. The role will also provide appropriate governance and oversight, including review of Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and Secretary/Minister procurement approvals as required, conduct investigations and report on instances of non-compliance with procurement policies and procedures, manage the administration of procurement training courses and advisory services on engagement of contingent labour and participate in other governance forums.

The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to initiate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders and work in a collaborative manner by providing responsive and proactive procurement advice whilst ensuring compliance with DEECA policies and procedures. Leading a team of two, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance around Whole of Government State Purchase Contracts (SPC's) and other panels while managing the maintenance of accurate divisional contract information in the DEECA Contract Management System and effectively communicating complex contract information and concepts to internal clients from a range of disciplines.

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of procurement, purchasing and contract management processes with at least 5 years relevant experience.

**This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.**
