**Position Information**:
Port Hacking High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school located in the Sutherland Shire, on the lands of the Gweagal Clan of the Dharawal speaking people. The student population is approximately 1,100 with 12% EAL/D, 25 Aboriginal students and includes four specialist support classes.

The school has a focus on academic achievement, student leadership and civics, sport and the creative arts. The school's strategic directions focus on student growth and attainment, collaborative teaching and learning practices, and a positive culture of learning and wellbeing. Port Hacking High School embeds an inclusive, comprehensive and visible education as our educational philosophy. We value fostering links with universities and tertiary institutions, business, external agencies and the wider school community for the benefit of all our students.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, demonstrated effective, collaborative and inclusive leadership which authentically fosters positive relationships and connections with students, staff, parents and the wider community. Ability to strategically identify stengths in others whilst building their capability to develop a high expectations culture, with shared responsibilities for continuous school improvement. Demonstrated visionary and supportive educational leadership aligned with strategic, evidence-informed decision making that reflects knowledge of current educational research and practce to drive growth and achievement in teacher and student learning.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
