Situated opposite Albert Park Lake, our 378 room dual-brand Hotel is also one of Melbourne's largest and most comprehensive conference, convention and meeting venues.

Our 31 event spaces have capacity for up to 3,000 guests together with our restaurants and bar. We offer business and leisure travellers a lavish space to meet, rejuvenate and explore the city of Melbourne. Conferencing and Events is a key business for our property so leadership experience in this environment will be essential

Working with a dedicated, high-energy team, and supported by an experienced senior leadership group, you will be an important operational leader, ensuring that all events and outlets run smoothly and coordinate seamlessly with the kitchen and events management teams.

What You Will Be Doing:
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, in this full-time role you will oversee the entire Food and Beverage department, playing a significant role in managing the delivery of complex events. In addition, ensuring an excellent guest experience, collaborating across all departments; and supporting the food and beverage team members to be their best selves and developing their skills. We are a strong advocate for promoting within our team, so training and mentoring will be an important responsibility.

Your Experience and Skills Include:

- Extensive background in Food and Beverage, preferably in a five-star hotel environment. Experience in a large banquets or events venue will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated leadership in leading people and projects.
- A passion for service excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
- Strong administration skills are essential. Experience in Opera (or similar PMS) as well as Micros and Excel are preferred.
- Meeting budgets, departmental reporting and managing costs.
- Attentive and have an eye for detail.
