Railway Systems Assurance Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Railway Systems Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all railway systems and projects comply with safety standards and regulations.
As a Railway Systems Assurance Specialist, you will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement assurance plans, conduct reviews, and provide expertise on system safety and integration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing project-specific systems assurance management plans and statements;
- Conducting assurance reviews throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with safety standards;
- Presentation of project assurance status at change control boards;
- Coordinating and engaging stakeholders to ensure V/Line's representation at various forums;
You will also support the continuous improvement of systems and processes, ensuring that they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline;
- Understanding and knowledge of systems engineering, systems assurance, or systems safety; experience in rail infrastructure or rolling stock will be highly regarded;
- A couple of years (or more) of professional experience in systems engineering, systems integration, functional safety, or RAMS;
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills;
- Alignment with V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights;

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum. Benefits include 4 weeks annual leave, 11.5% superannuation, and free myki for metro & regional travel.
