The Social Impact and Community Investment team sits within the Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) division of CBA. The team sets the social impact and community investment strategies for the Group and works across the business to build strong, positive and impactful relationships that align with CBA's strategy to lead in the support we provide to our customers and communities.

The Social Impact team coordinates the Bank-wide social impact program, supporting the business to embed key social impact initiatives into the business and adhering to the requirements set out in the Environment and Social Policy. We work with the business to identify current and emerging social risks and manage risk exposure through the processes of the organisation, including in relation to the areas of modern slavery and Indigenous affairs. We advise and support on the development of discrete programs of work; and support the business to make transparent disclosures on non-financial progress and performance.

**Do work that matters**

The Manager Social Impact - Modern Slavery is a specialist role that reports to the Chapter Lead, Social Impact. In this role, you will support the business with specialist knowledge to further our commitments to respecting human rights as set out in our Environment and Social Policy, with a focus on supporting our efforts to assess and address modern slavery risk in our business operations, financing decisions and supply chain.

**On any given day, you will be**:

- Advising the business on their approaches to assessing and addressing the risk of modern slavery practices across our business operations and supply chain; providing Secretariat support to our Modern Slavery Advisory Council and coordinating an internal Modern Slavery Working Group.
- Leading the development of our Annual Joint Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.
- Leading stakeholder engagement where required, including by representing the bank at relevant modern slavery and human rights forums.
- In conjunction with the broader Social Impact team, providing advice and "should we" guidance to the business to support adherence to our human rights policy commitments and maintaining oversight of domestic and regulatory requirements relating to the social settings within the E&S Policy.
- Supporting the analysis, communication and delivery of environment, social and governance related reporting requirements.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Human Rights or Social Impact experience with modern slavery specific knowledge (essential).
- Relevant experience preferably in a large matrixed organisation or a consulting firm.
- Strong project management and risk management experience with a strong ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Effective stakeholder management - a proven ability to build effective relationships quickly and get the best out of people to drive results.
- Strong commercial skills including negotiation and influencing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as confident presentation skills.
- Proven ability to effectively shape ideas/ initiatives with limited guidance.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Change management experience is desirable.
- Experience in finance or professional services sectors is highly regarded.
