**Who we are**

The Workforce Capability team manage PM&C's central investment in learning and development as well as oversee the department’s performance management and leadership frameworks. We are a supportive, collaborative and friendly team who work in partnership with others to enable learning, providing strategic advice as well as coordinating a range of development activities.

**What you will do**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced APS6 HR professional to join the Workforce Capability team to develop and implement programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening leadership capability. In this role you will have the opportunity to build strong professional relationships, working with a range of stakeholders and in a team that is committed to continuous improvement and development.
- Contribute to the design, management and evaluation of PM&C’s learning and development suite of offerings
- Manage personal development including coaching, studies assistance and mentoring
- Work to uplift learning and development capability including the Mandatory Training Program and other required training
- Support management of PM&C’s Learning Management System (Acorn)
- Manage leadership and management development including high value offerings and scholarships
- Support implementation of PM&C’s Performance Management Framework
- Support management of rewards and recognition
- Manage project work under limited direction
- Proactively identify and implement ways to improve our services
- Provide high quality, accurate and consistent HR advice, maintaining high-level customer service and relationships with stakeholders

**What you will bring**

We are seeking motivated people who are outcomes focused with an interest in, knowledge of, and experience in HR, project/program management or policy. They have the ability to understand and interpret HR-related issues, legislation and Australian Public Service (APS) employment frameworks.

- the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and self-directed
- the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of a small team, including monitoring staff workload and performance, and quality assuring team outputs (if required)
- experience in a learning and development role and/or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable but not mandatory)

PM&C supports mutually beneficial flexible work arrangements which suit operational requirements and uses space, technology and a mix of digital tools to equip you to work flexibly, where you can. Whilst consideration is given to all flexible work requests, it is anticipated that this role may require some office presence, balanced with working flexibly from home.
