Our labour hire division continues to experience significant growth. We employ over 4,000 on-hire employees, including 3,000 recruited from the Pacific region each year under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme and the Australian Government’s Seasonal Worker Program. Our on-hire workforce is predominantly placed within the horticulture, fish, meat, and hospitality industries. This position is responsible for the labour hire payroll function.

**About the Role**

Working from either our Mildura or Adelaide office, we require a Payroll Manager to lead all aspects of 15 person payroll function and to drive a customer centric service. The role will focus on continuous improvement, creating efficiencies and streamlining the payroll function, whilst ensuring a high-quality payroll service is delivered to our labour hire clients. You will be well versed in taxation and superannuation laws, able to interpret multiple Award and Enterprise Agreements, and provide technical guidance and support to the business in all payroll related matters.

You will be responsible for:

- Ensuring your team successfully and accurately complete multiple pay-runs per week;
- Streamlining and maintaining payroll processes and systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including wages, superannuation, leave, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions;
- Developing, implementing and maintaining financial controls, record management processes, and reporting;
- Monitoring payroll processes to ensure integrity of payments and compliance with all statutory requirements;
- Building a payroll culture that is engaging and focused on the client;
- Leading and mentoring a team of payroll officers (both office based and remote) to complete accurate and timely payroll processing deadlines;
- Develop strong relationships with key labour hire stakeholders.

You will have experience in managing a high-volume payroll and leading a team to successfully meet the deadlines associated with such.

You will have:

- Strong analytical and reporting skills;
- Strong leadership capacity and a focus on mentoring internal talent to build an engaged payroll culture; and
- Capability to drive payroll transformation through system improvements, processes and service.

To be considered, you must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a national police check.

**Our Benefits**

This role is a key position in supporting the growth of our labour hire business. The remuneration is $90-$95,000, plus superannuation. As a not-for-profit organisation, we offer generous salary sacrifice arrangements to the value of $15,900 per annum plus entertainment expenses to the value of $2,650 per annum, providing a significant tax benefit to our employees.
