**About the Role**:
Our Sydney Light Rail project team is currently looking for a Trade Assistant to join the infrastructure operations team in Randwick.

You will be working in a team, so you will have to be motivated to learn quickly to help maintain the Sydney Light Rail network to its best condition and performance.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assist Maintenance technicians on multiple maintenance tasks (routine and corrective)
- Assist Maintenance technicians respond in a timely manner to infrastructure asset malfunction/failure.
- Ensure safe work practices are carried out in line with the company’s safety & environmental guidelines.
- Carry out minor servicing, repairs under supervision.
- Assist daily for the maintenance vehicles to be cleaned and tidy.
- Support with spare parts issuing and allocation.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are functional and used in the correct manner.
- Alert when tools and equipment are damaged.

Other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined by your manager or supervisor.

**Job Location**

On site, Randwick Depot and Lilyfield depot as well as on the IWLR and CSELR tramway lines.

**Hours of Work**

Work site hours, as per the roster in place. 8 hours shift with overtime available.

Shifts details - 4 weeks rolling shift,
- Morning 06:00-14:00
- Afternoon 14:00-22:00
- Night 22:00-06:00

**Technical Skills & Competencies**
- Experience in railway environement is a plus
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Driving License
- Forklift Licence and Working at Heights Licence are all highly regarded however not essential.
