The Maintenance Technician is responsible to service, maintain, perform warranty repairs and overhaul of Infrastructure equipment of the Sydney Light Rail, mainly, Power Supply equipment such as switchgear, rectifiers, passenger stops LV, wayside electrical equipment, Depot electrical utilities APS (traction power supply) As part of the maintenance team, he/she will ensure the equipment is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner whilst constantly seeking to improve quality.

**Responsibilities**

**Maintenance**
- Carry out the preventive/corrective maintenance activities on time as assigned by the Team Leader/Supervisor
- Understand and follow work instructions, Operation & Maintenance manuals
- To monitor the alarm and failure on the sub-systems
- Carry out electrical section isolation
- Perform fault troubleshooting, investigation and tests. Take on time corrective actions.
- Liaise with suppliers/OEM
- Liaise with relevant Power Supply Engineer for technical resolution / support.
- Track material serial number, return faulty parts to quarantine at the warehouse. Ensure the material planning if required.
- Alert the Team Leader/Supervisor for the material quantity if reaching to critical low level.
- Proper handling, storage of maintenance tools.
- Follow the roster prepared by the Team Leader/Supervisor (4 weeks rolling shift)
- Use work related IT Systems as required including GSI/SES to record progress of operations and status of issues.

**Reporting**
- Accurately report status of operations in shift report
- Complete Work Checklists and Work Orders with the required level of detail including completion time.

- Must be proactive in on site activities, a quick learner and also share the knowledge REX with other team members.
- Ensure to pass follow up actions to following shift
