THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE
About the Role
As an experienced and adaptable External Communications Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing a communications strategy that will help lift Datacom’s brand in the Australian market. Ideally, you will have managed the creation and execution of successful media relations programmes for large brands. You also have experience in crisis communications.
This role is ideal for someone who has around 5 years’ agency experience and is looking to make the move in-house; or someone who is interested in progressing their comms career.

- Manage media opportunities, and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations, and other supporting material as needed.
- Actively engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding special events, public announcements, and other projects.
- Actively shape creative ideas and executions within the larger Datacom Marketing and Communications team, with an eye towards increasing the PR impact and pick up.
