**Your new team**:
This role reports to the Senior Manager - Cryptography, which is a part of the wider Group Cyber Data Protection practice.

The Group Cyber Data Protection is responsible for the consultation, design and operation of group-wide security controls including;
- Data Classification
- Cryptography
- Data Loss Prevention

**Your impact and contribution**:
As Control Manager - Cryptography, you will be tasked with the assurance and governance of cryptography practices across the group, which includes owning the cryptography standards and guidelines.

You will lead and support the business on implementing and managing control services and solutions across our cryptography portfolio and offer consultative advice to technical and function stakeholders.

You will also:

- Support in building and delivering the cryptography strategies.
- Define, build and establish cryptographic controls in the group.
- Manage the cryptographic controls through periodic validation to ascertain if they are fit for purpose within the current risk landscape.
- Monitor, assess, and report on the design and operating effectiveness of the cryptographic controls.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders such as Service Owners, Security Architects, Engineers and other Cyber teams.
- Proactively manage risk, internal and external audit obligations and responsibilities, in line with the group’s operational risk management framework.
- Develop and regularly report control metrics to appropriate governance forums.

This role requires a specialist with experience in managing and implementing complex cyber security controls including cyber risk and governance. You will have working across a similar environment managing services across a complex and ever growing security landscape and bring a sound understanding across cryptography.

You will bring:

- Prior **experience **in risk related roles with a deep understanding of **cyber related risks **essential **.
- **Experience **in managing **cyber controls is essential.**
- Possess reasonable understanding of **cryptographic services **including key management, encryption and public key infrastructure.
- Skills in technical and non-technical stakeholder management and collaboration.
- Confidence in working in large and complex environments.
- Expertise in Cyber Security with strong interpersonal skills.
