**Role Description**

The Family Liaison Officer (FLO) provides a family liaison service for Puckapunyal and the surrounding regions and is a critical enabler towards Defence capability in terms of accessibility to and the delivery of services and programs and it directly supports strengthening Defence families and linking Defence and the local community.

The Family Liaison Officer will develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and have extensive knowledge of the local community and region. They will provide a first and soft-touch point of contact for Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families, before and/or during posting. This role is pivotal in engagement, planning and delivery of Community Capacity Building and community engagement events and activities.

**Key activities will include**
- Perform straightforward tasks that support the delivery of procedural, operational, administrative and business support activities across Defence.
- Respond to straightforward operational, procedural, administrative and business support enquiries and maintain accurate records and files in accordance with relevant Defence work practices, procedures and policies.

**Key requirements**

Essential
- Baseline Clearance or higher
- Stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication

Desirable
- Prior Defence experience
- Prior experience in a similar role
