- Work autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced educator role
- Supervise and support the Occupational Therapy workforce within MHDAS
- Optimal work/life balance -Temporary Part Time - 40 hrs per fortnight (Parental Leave Relief)

**About the service**

MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.

**About you**
- Extensive experience and expertise in mental health service delivery
- 10 years’ postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide expert clinical consultancy and dissemination of key messages across a range of key internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support, with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching consumers personal recovery goals
- Demonstrated expert level clinical expertise to initiate and lead evidence-based practice in the care delivery to consumers with complex mental health needs; including drug and alcohol and disability

**About the role**

The Mental Health Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator assists in the coordination and delivery of educational development activities for mental health program staff. The position has a key role in providing occupational therapy discipline specific leadership and education and training to mental health staff and students. The role forms part of the MHDAS Education Team and is strategically aligned to the broader Barwon Health UHG services. As a senior mental health occupational therapist, the role works closely with the other senior educators and clinicians in MHDAS and Barwon Health UHG.
