**About the Role**

Foundation Studies is a pre-university course within the Pathways School at Trinity College that qualifies overseas students for entry to the University of Melbourne and other universities. The Chemistry programs deliver one or two 90-minute lectures, and one 90-minute tutorial per week. Students undertake ten 3-hour laboratory classes as part of all Chemistry programs in our dedicated Chemistry laboratory.

This is a casual teaching position in the Chemistry department in the Trinity College Foundation Studies program. The successful applicant will deliver laboratory classes in Chemistry. Classes are delivered in face-to-face mode.

Duties in this teaching position include development and marking of student exams and other assessments, report writing, and a strong commitment to support of student learning through individual and group outside classroom consultation.

**Skills & Experience**

To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant tertiary level qualification and a minimum of 2 years full-time teaching experience at VCE level, a Foundation Studies Program or University Level.

To succeed in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in face-to-face course delivery and should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents or hold a valid work permit or visa. The successful applicant must secure, or be in the process of securing, a Working with Children approval.

**Employment Type**: This is a casual position commencing in January 2024.

**Salary**: Casual hourly rates in line with the Educational Services(Post-Secondary) Award 2020.
