MCM has been delivering the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) for 30 years, and we have recently secured funding to transition to the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).

**About the Opportunity**:
The role is primarily based in Fitzroy North with working from home options available, servicing the Inner City, Northern & Western Metro areas of Melbourne. The objective of this role is to recruit, induct, train, match volunteers to an older person and provide ongoing support for volunteers.

The Volunteers Coordinator will also play a key role in marketing and promoting the ACVVS by developing strong relationships with community groups, volunteer networks, aged care providers and facilitating connections between volunteers and the older people we support.

The ACVVS aims to match volunteers to older people in our communities living in an aged care home or their own home. (This role will predominantly be for home care recipients).

**About you**:

- Provide volunteers and the elderly with required support and provide accurate information about the ACVVS
- Manage a portfolio of volunteers
- Complete volunteer screening
- Complete recipient assessments and home screening checks
- Experience in recruitment, management and retention of volunteers or staff
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including effective stakeholder engagement skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Experience in marketing, community engagement and workplace training
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and high level of computer literacy
- Proven team-work skills, the ability to work collaboratively and to undertake independent work and activities where necessary
- Ability to undertake regular administrative duties associated with the role, maintain relevant data and notes and provide timely reports
- Current driver’s license and access to a roadworthy fully insured vehicle

**Working Arrangements**:
Primarily based in our Fitzroy North office with a focus on supporting and managing a caseload of volunteers within the Melbourne metropolitan area. Your role may include some regional travel to attend network meetings.

**Screening Criteria**:

- National Police check
- Working with Children check and NDIS Worker Screening check or ability to obtain
- Valid Victorian Drivers license
- Right to Work in Australia
- Up to date with COVID-19 Vaccinations or valid medical exemption
- MCM employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
