Seeking multiple APS4 Project Officers in the following sectors:

- Procurement & Finance
- Agility
- Staffing
- Logistics

The Project Officer supports the administration of matters relating to corporate, governance and event readiness functions. The Project Officer contributes to the administration of specific projects relating to the conduct of a large event.

The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex in nature, under general direction, utilising functional expertise to support the delivery of corporate, compliance and governance functions, events and project outcomes.

This position is an agile position and during the event cycle will be required to contribute to the delivery of different projects as directed by management.

**Description**

**Project responsibilities**:

- Assist with the planning, scheduling and completion of components of projects.
- Check project progress including monitoring schedules, and checking budget data.
- Accurately record project expenditure and resource allocation.
- Conduct research and analysis, providing reports and conclusions on findings to assist in the delivery of projects.

**Corporate and governance responsibilities**:

- Support the procurement processes of the work area including using templates to initiate procurement, and reporting activities.
- Support the delivery of administrative, financial and human resource functions in the work area.
- Receive and receipt payments of funds in relation to projects or wider programs.
- Provide broad administrative support to specific projects such as records management tasks.
- Prepare minutes of meetings and/or committees, boards or other project and program fora and provide general administrative support for secretariat work within a project.
- Under supervision, undertake asset and property management functions.

**Profile**

**_ Mandatory_**
- Knowledge and experience in successfully completing allocated tasks and delivering quality results.
- Ability to prepare written work that is well constructed and adapted to the needs of the audience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst liaising with stakeholders and assisting to resolve issues across a geographically dispersed network.
- Ability to conduct analysis and research and report on findings with the ability to contribute new ideas and identify opportunities for business efficiency improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor staff, encouraging team improvement and promoting professionalism.
- Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
- A demonstrated proficiency with computer based project tools (e.g. Microsoft product suite of Project, Excel and PowerPoint).
