**About the role**
Our client has a large piece of work incoming that requires attention and assessment that falls in line with state and commonwealth legislation.
In this role, you will assist with the assessment of Water Resource Plans whilst undertaking detailed research of legislation.
You will be a strong team player; however, you need to have the ability to work autonomously within a high-pressure environment. You will need resilience and a focused work ethic to be able to perform effectively within this role.
The work environment is structured and regulated using standardised reporting templates used to conduct critical assessments of state water plans.
Ideally, you have worked in a similar role within the Federal Government with an understanding of legislative assessment. You will need strong research and analysis skills with a high level of attention to detail and report writing skills. You will be a natural communicator and have experience engaging internal and external stakeholders.
It would be advantageous to understand water policy related to the Basin Plan and Water Act, Environmental/biological science and/or natural resource management qualifications.
