The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Team Leader in one of our Squads. This role is a core part of our leadership structure and provide tailored 1:1 employee lifecycle support to our employees during their work journey. They work collaboratively with their teams, uplifting and supporting them to grow, to feel motivated to bring out their true selves and to do their best work.

On a day-to-day go to support role, providing mentorship and coaching of up to 15 direct reports from the delivery team and they themselves report directly to the Squad Lead. They provide technical support / technical leadership 80% of the time and dedicate 20% of their working time to their people.

Aside from people skills, this individual has strong technical and management skills - research, investigate, define, design, implement, monitor and improve work processes whilst meeting client requirements. Working under broad direction, your work is self-initiated, you are highly organised and meet service, governance, security and quality objectives.

You need to be comfortable working in the grey, having worked in high growth, agile and fast-changing IT work environments that demand adaptability and the ability to deal with competing demands. The best thing about this role is the variety of work that you will perform on a daily basis and the clients you will work with.

What you need to know

What is essential is that you are a technical lead, able to talk the talk, do the work on a technical level and be an example to your team. You must also have experience in managing, motivating, leading, mentoring, coaching and developing people within the IT industry. Sound managerial and leadership skills and experience will set you apart.
