**About the Role**
We are seeking customer service superstars, with excellent communication skills and be able to work with people from a range of backgrounds. It’s important that you can listen to our customer’s needs and understand what they require. You’ll have a passion for providing advice and guidance across our phone and in person service points.

**Duties**:

- Provide the first point of escalation for a broad range of inquiries, requests and complaints.
- Accurately and efficiently resolve enquiries, requests, complaints and issues
- Develop relationships with key service areas within City of Port Phillip and provide customer service support aligned with high quality standards
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Council services, activities and events.

**Skills and Experience**
- Passion and motivation to deliver high quality customer service with the ability to solve most customer requests, inquiries, complaints, issues and cases.
- Resilience, working well under pressure, managing tasks and competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Able to shift easily between different service channels (phone, online and in person) and locations as demand requires.
- Proven ability to learn new procedures and utilise the skills necessary to retain important information
- Knowledge of the cashiering role and functions, including cash control and handling procedures and an ability to handle large amounts of cash accurately.
- Basic understanding of the operations of Local Government is desirable.
