The Bridge Incorporated is a progressive and innovative community based organisation that provides a variety of support services to individuals with disability as well as young people from disadvantaged backgrounds from various locations in Melbourne's south-east and Peninsula.

The Bridge operates a Cleaning Work Crew in Dandenong that has a diverse workforce which focuses on providing employment supports for people with a disability.

**Opportunity**
- Role: Permanent Part-Time
- Work Pattern: 3 days per week (22.5 hours) 3pm - 11pm
- Location: The Bridge WORKS - 95A Cheltenham Road, Dandenong, VIC 3175

**What does the Training and Support Officer do?
The Bridge Employment is seeking a Part Time Training and Support Officer to provide supervision and direction to Supported Employees, to ensure that work tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard The position involves providing Supported Employees with on-the-job training to support their journey in achieving their employment goals

This position is within our newly established 'Work Crew', and will involve supporting participants to conduct cleaning responsibilities and tasks at our The Bridge site locations across the South Eastern suburbs. This program has been introduced to provide employment opportunities for participants and enable them to increase their skill set within The Bridge settings, by undertaking cleaning tasks including wiping surfaces, disposing of rubbish, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, etc. As Training and Support Officer, you will also support the Team Leader to ensure the program is run smoothly, including being responsible for driving the Work Crew between cleaning locations. A such, experience driving an 8 seater van or people mover is strongly desired

**Requirements for the role**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Possess a current and valid full Australian Driver's license.
- Be an effective communicator and have well developed oral and written skills.
- Be able to identify Supported Employee's strengths and work with them to improve their capability within their role.
- Be able to perform manual tasks of a repetitive nature, as well as work duties involving lifting and cleaning commercial properties; for example vacuuming, wiping tables, and cleaning toilets.
- Demonstrate effective time management, computer and administration skills.
- Have experience with disability or community services (qualifications in these areas are highly preferred).
