Join our team in Redbank, QLD, as a Transport Operations Manager, where your strong understanding and interpersonal skills will be key to success. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service within the FMCG space.

The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule that requires dedication and growth opportunities, giving you the opportunity to make a significant impact.

**What will you be doing?**
- Manage Branch operations, labour and vehicle resources in order to achieve delivery and service objectives both local and interstate
- Manage the inbound and outbound freight ensuring all collection and deliveries are done in a timely manner
- Conduct, review and verify training (induction training, HSE training, specific driver/ SOP training) of direct reports to ensure it is up to date and employees have the knowledge and skills to perform their role.
- Drive the commitment to comply with company policy and legislative requirements at all times by leading and implementing all Work Health and Safety, COR, storage and handling of dangerous goods, traffic laws and Federal and State Government Regulations.
- Drive financial performance by meeting budget targets, reducing costs, and efficiently allocating resources.
- Manage and maintain property, plant and site security.
- Train and support staff to ensure efficient resourcing of the team and closely manage individual and team performance.

This is an opportunity for an established transport and logistics manager who relishes a fast-paced environment, experienced in providing leadership and effective operational management within a transport environment.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a Transport environment
- Strong supervisory skills promoting operational excellence
- A positive and motivated self-starter who is hands on and works well under pressure, adopts a company first attitude and is flexible in handling changing business demands
- Experience in workforce management, including hiring, scheduling, and managing both permanent and casual labor requirements
- Analytical and strategically minded
- The ability to liaise with sales, admin and operational personnel
- Computer Literacy
- Customer service focus
- Forklift Licence - highly regarded
- HC Truck Licence - highly regarded
