**The Role**
Airborne Surveillance Control and Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), is located at RAAF Base Williamtown (NSW) and RAAF Base Edinburgh (SA) and performs sustainment and major capability upgrades for the Air Force's fleet of E-7A Wedgetail and MC-55A Peregrine platforms.
The Work Health & Safety (WHS) Officer in co-junction with the WHS Advisor is responsible for a range of WHS duties. These include, but are not limited to:
- WHS governance and assurance
- Delivery and improvement of the ASCISPO WHS Management Plan
- Stakeholder engagement with our Industry and Capability partners is fundamental to the role.
- Engagement of ASCISPO APS and military workforce in location and remote
The role will be primarily onsite at the RAAF Base Edinburgh, however there may be a need to travel interstate and work overnight at alternate locations including Williamtown and/or Amberley. You will need to obtain a security clearance of Negative Vetting 1 and be willing to undertake additional clearances should the need arise.
As part of the Engineering Management Unit within ASCISPO, you will contribute to and benefit from the continual improvement of the ASCISPO Engineering and Technical (E&T) and Safety Management Systems and WHS, ensuring sustained delivery of safe and compliant capability.
International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) is the United States regulation that controls the manufacture, sale and distribution of defence and space-related articles and services. The ITAR contains a list of “restricted” countries that are unable to access ITAR controlled information, and therefore we will need to know if an applicant holds dual citizenship to one of the restricted countries to ensure they meet the requirement to perform the role (and we do not breach any ITAR requirements).
