**About the role**
Glen Eira City Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Support Officer to join the dynamic and dedicated Community Development team.
The Support Officer is responsible for providing targeted administration assistance and support to the Manager Community Development and the department as a whole.
- Key responsibilities include:_
- Manage the Department's timelines for documentation, reports, agendas and minutes, working closely with Coordinators to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Produce high quality correspondence, reports and other documents.
- Provide high quality proof-reading, editing and checks of key documents.
- Ensure all staff leave, rosters and time-in-lieu records are kept up-to-date and closely monitored.
**About you**
You will be flexible and agile in your work with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed and navigate through an everchanging work environment
Your communication skills will be proficient, and you will be confident in having challenging conversations and holding people accountable.
Your aptitude for building strong rapport and relationships with a range of stakeholders will ensure your success.
The following are also required:
- High attention to detail with ability to proof-read documentation and provide feedback to add value and ability to prepare documents with a high level of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to understand timelines, prepare schedules and ensure delivery of work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate across a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, priorities, multiple tasks and be well organised.
