**The Role**

We currently have a Permanent Part-time opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our friendly and dynamic Payroll team. As the Payroll Administrator, you will be reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer and will be responsible for answering pay queries, timesheet data entry and dealing with all matters associated with administering and processing all manual and automated payments to staff.

You will be experienced in using Sage Micropay, and you will take a hands on approach to ensuring that all staff are paid in an efficient and timely manner ensuring payroll and reporting deadlines are always adhered to.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage timely and accurate processing of designated fortnightly payroll
- Ensure all timesheets, payroll changes and other related material is received prior to payroll run
- Produce and balance the general ledger
- Pay employees consistent with appropriate Award or agreement
- Prepare and balance PAYG tax, superannuation, workers compensation and other authorised payroll deductions
- Maintain both computerised and paper based filing systems
- Be point of contact for all payroll enquiries

**Essential criteria**
- Working knowledge of Sage Micropay, Sage People and ComOps
- Understanding of relevant legislation relating to the ATO, Superannuation, Fairwork Awards and Entitlements
- Cert IV Tertiary qualifications in a Finance field or similar
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience and skills in Payroll or HR to undertake the position with the desire to complete relevant qualifications
- Willingness to obtain satisfactory background checks including Police Check
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination evidence (minimum 2 doses)
