**About the Position**

Are you a seasoned traffic and design professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? City of Canada Bay Council is seeking a highly skilled Traffic & Design Manager to lead our Roads & Traffic Business Unit. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our road and traffic infrastructure, ensuring safety and efficiency for our community.

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide strategic leadership to the Roads & Traffic Business Unit.
- Oversee the planning, design, and delivery of road and traffic projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external consultants.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of traffic engineers and designers.

Key Challenges:

- Balancing project priorities and resource allocation.
- Navigating complex traffic and road design challenges.

Decision Making:

- Setting strategic direction for traffic and road infrastructure.
- Approving project designs and budgets.

Essential Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience in traffic and road design and management.
- Professional accreditation as a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of traffic and road engineering standards and regulations.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from **$124,849.79 to $143,577.26 + Super.**
