Why this role matters

The Doorways program provides person centred care to community members experiencing financial or other forms of hardship through the provision of financial and material emergency relief.

Case management is provided at some of the Doorways sites to engage people through early intervention as well as address long term disadvantage to break the cycle of poverty and alleviate financial hardship. Our practitioners are strength based and trauma informed in their practice to build individual capacity, resilience, and wellbeing.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated values-driven Doorways Case Worker. In this role you will support community members to meet their goals through community partnerships, collaboration while using Case Management as a tool.

You will successfully
- Work collaboratively with Corps Officers, Volunteers, and other co-located Mission Leaders to deliver an integrated approach to delivering Doorways at the local site
- Develop high quality case plans with community members to identify achievable goals using a strength based approach
- Complete assessments and referrals for additional financial support
- Accurate and up to date client records and data
- Provide advocacy to support community members to access services and be connected and linked to their community and others as appropriate

You will have
- A Degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or other Community/Human Services discipline is highly desirable, or a Diploma and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the community services sector would be considered
- The ability to manage stakeholder relationships and partnerships effectively

This is a full time maximum term (5 months) position located in Adelaide. The salary and conditions for the role are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 4 Award.
