About Us

Comprising of the Future Student Team, Outreach Team, Student Enquiry and Student Transition, the Student Journey Services Office functions to inspire, inform, recruit, convert, support, and transition enabling, undergraduate and postgraduate students to study at Murdoch University. We seek understanding of the diversity of student journeys and place them at the centre of our operations.

The Role

Key responsibilities for the role include:

- Implementing domestic recruitment and engagement strategies under the direction of the Manager Future Student Engagement.
- Liaise with the Murdoch discipline groups to identify, develop, and promote academic programs to attract high-calibre domestic students; and work with separate teams to coordinate and deliver targeted recruitment activities.
- Prepare engagement activities with a recruitment focus, to support domestic student recruitment objectives.
- Counsel and provide support to prospective students on course selection and other aspects of University life; ensuring students have the information at hand to make the best decision on their future.
- Represent Murdoch University at schools, partner organisations, exhibitions, and other off-campus events to generate interest amongst future students and key influencers.
- Showcase the University to future students by planning and coordinating on-campus activities.

What you’ll bring to this role
- A degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills; including presentations, and the ability to create, maintain and enhance relationships with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience in developing, coordinating, and managing highly successful events.
- Experience in marketing and/or an understanding of marketing principles and client account management.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
- Current Working with Children Check
- Ability to work some evenings, during peak times will be essential
