About the Role

A part time Team Assistant position has become available within the Company Secretariat portfolio at AGL. In this position, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of support services that facilitate the effective planning and management of administration duties from Board and senior leadership level through to the broader Company Secretariat team. You will ensure a smooth, reliable, and efficient environment for a wide range of day to day, specific and general administrative functions and will demonstrate initiative, maintain confidentiality, and be proactive while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

This role is part time, 20-25 hours per week, based in the Sydney office for a 12 month fixed term period.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the EA - General Counsel & Company Secretariat, you will:

- Provide support to the EA - Company Secretariat with general administration duties and assist with overflow where required
- Assist with planning and executing Board, Committee and team meetings and events as required, including but not limited to preparation of materials, catering, room booking and set up and support during the function
- Raising Purchase Requests, processing invoices and management of expenses
- Coordinate the onboarding of new employees, access to systems and equipment as required
- Providing other general administration duties as required
- Establish and maintain co-operative and collaborative relationships across the AGL Energy business
- Ensure that all AGL systems and policies are adhered to while undertaking tasks

About You

What you’ll bring to the table
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or Team Assistant type position
- High level written & verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, including ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as individually
- Confident liaising with people from all levels, including external stakeholders
- Can do attitude
- Intermediate MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making, and to prioritise conflicting needs
- Willingness to travel to other AGL sites on occasion
- Experience with Diligent, Concur and SAP will be highly regarded
