We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Economics team. You will be a driven, structured, and methodical data scientist with experience in producing actionable business intelligence to provide insights and lead the discussion across all areas that relate to Data Science and Economics.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Develop data products/insights and lead discussions within NAB on how to operationalise analytics coming out of Group Economics and support NAB to deliver on our strategic agenda.
- Lead and support the management of multiple analytic initiatives.
- Sharing knowledge and uplifting capabilities with analysts in the business.
- Thought leadership in the approach to analytics at the bank.
- Developing and automating data science best practices in both Group Economics and Risk Analytics.
- Demonstrating value and benefit from advanced analytics to senior stakeholders.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- Solid understanding of various risk types spanning multiple areas of the bank.
- Knowledge of the banking industry and other industries.
- Substantial experience with stakeholder engagement and management.
- Profound experience in predictive modelling; statistical methodologies, big data processing.
- A background in statistical analysis and modelling techniques over large data sets, with proven capability constructing, validating, and implementing models.
- Comfortable developing code and performing analysis using common tools such as SQL/R/Python, PowerBI and/or Tableau.
- Understanding of micro/macroeconomics preferred.
- Tertiary qualified preferred.
