**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Do you enjoy working in a manufacturing environment?
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to join our manufacturing site. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager the focus of this position is to establish and maintain regulatory compliance at the Australia and New Zealand sites in the areas of Environmental, Health and Safety whilst championing continuous improvements that drive a proactive culture of EHS.

**HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE AND LEAD**
- Lead EHS activities for Oceania to ensure compliance and meet local and Global KPI's
- Collaborate with the business to identify critical risks and to implement creative preventative measures and controls
- Establish and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures at the sites as well as the culture to support them
- Maintain ISO14001 Environmental Certification
- Manage incident investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions including database management
- Conduct internal and external audits
- Obtain and maintain permits/licenses for regulatory compliance and with various outside agencies to demonstrate compliance.
- Manage Workers Compensation claims

**WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**
- A tertiary qualification in Environment, Health & Safety or similar discipline
- Minimum 5 years previous generalist EHS experience including workers compensation and injury management, EHS compliance and legislation, EHS audits, and workplace investigations
- Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment and promoting positive EHS behaviors
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
