Our Sydney based Trading Book Capital Team is looking for a Manager to play a key role in the daily operation of Macquarie’s traded market risk capital calculation - value-at-risk (VaR). In this role you will gain exposure to a wide range of businesses that trade a diverse range of products and asset classes globally. Reporting to the VaR team lead you will be given the opportunity to build on any of the following skills that you may have: trading book capital knowledge and/or VaR, FRTB, derivatives, mentoring and coaching of staff.

You will be responsible for:

- Development of high quality process and procedures that are integral to the team’s core regulatory deliverables.
- Tracking and organisation of team deliverables.
- Regular communications with senior traders, management and regulators.
- Documentation of new and existing trading strategies to assist with the transition to the new FRTB.
- Understanding new products, trading strategies and businesses from a trading book capital perspective.
- Collaboration with Trading Market Risk staff in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and Houston.

Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will help you communicate ideas succinctly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. Any knowledge of market/treasury risk management and regulation (APS 116 and FRTB) as well as derivative pricing and validation methodologies will be highly valued. Lastly, you should have excellent academic qualifications.
