**Your future role**

An opportunity has become available to join Alstom within our **V/Line Maintenance** project. The team within this project play a critical role in ensuring the V/Line regional train fleet is maintained and operating to the highest standard. Joining the team as the **Head of **Fleet Management**, you will play a critical role in leading the operational teams across several different sites to optimize the V/Line fleet performance while ensuring that safety remains top priority. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team and be responsible for driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. You will primarily be based at our depot in **West Melbourne**, however you will be required to travel to South Dynan, Ballarat and Geelong, as required.

We’ll look to you for:

- Leading, coaching and managing large mulit-disciplined (trade and management) teams across multiple sites.
- The management of all depot production and maintenance activities across a 24/7 operation, accountable for P/L.
- Working with the Fleet Support Centre and 24/7 help desk.
- Working closely with the Planning team to effectively adjust short-term planning, while supporting the long-term maintenance planning activity.
- Driving change and the continuous improvement of maintenance operations.
- Championing a ‘safety first’ culture across the operation.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage and influence at all levels.
- The demonstrated ability to lead change in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
- A commercially minded approach to operational management.
- Significant experience managing a fleet maintenance operation in Rail, Aviation, Automotive, Mining or a similar industry, in an environment with ER complexity.
- Tertiary qualifications are highly desirable.
