**About the role**:
- The Leisure travel advisor is responsible for advising clients about suitable travel options in accordance with their travel requirements and in line with company values.
- This includes designing & curating domestic and/or international journeys along with all details required to ensure a seamless experience.
- From the planning & execution stages through to checking in while their clients are travelling, and finally following up on their return.
- Our advisors are public-facing representatives of the company and as such need to provide the most thoughtful, innovative, and comprehensive service our discerning clients expect from us.
- Our clients are at the centre of all we do, and we strive to exceed their expectations and uphold the reputation that our director has acquired over the many years in the industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain effective relationships and communications with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
- Maintain productivity in line with company Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure client expectations are met and maintained at all times.
- Become familiar with client specifications and preferences (client brief).
- Suggest suitable travel options that best suit the client’s needs and budget.
- Plan and organise requested flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, car hire, visas and insurance etc. in a suitable timeframe.
- Upsell additional services and experiences.
- Ensure all financial transactions in mid-office system (eg. Tramada) are balanced and processes immediately on the same day.
- Support the entire team in all aspects of the business.
- Update all relevant shared databases, documents and spreadsheets with up-to-date knowledge of current products, services and systems, in order to benefit the efficiency of the company.
- Be trained across all relevant travel tools (Sabre, Tramada, Axus, Trello).
- Attend where necessary webinars, supplier meetings, evening supplier functions.
- Attend trade shows and other educational programmes (with approval from your manager).
- Other activities and projects as directed by your manager
**Skills & Experience**:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a luxury Leisure Travel Consultant
- Comprehensive destination knowledge and/or willingness to learn about local and international destinations
- Strong fares and ticketing knowledge is desirable (training provided if required)
- Excellent customer service skills with an inherent respect for clients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Critical thinking, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with travel software (Sabre, Tramada, Axus, etc..)
- Willingness to keep learning and updating skills
- Attention to detail is paramount
