**Opportunity**
As an Army Chaplain, you’ll take on an active role in a unique ministry to provide members of the Army with pastoral care and spiritual support.
Day-to-day you'll be an ever-present mentor and confidant, and in times of need you'll provide essential spiritual and pastoral support to our Defence personnel facing the challenges of protecting Australia.

**Your Role**
The Australian Defence Force has diverse spiritual needs, the care of our defence personnel is a high priority. As an Army Chaplain you will enjoy the satisfaction and variety of providing our people and their loved ones with spiritual and religious ministry and practical pastoral support.
You will have the opportunity to provide this support to all Army personnel, regardless of their religious background or affiliation, whilst remaining an active member of your own faith group.
As a commissioned officer you will also enjoy the additional challenge of taking on an important leadership and mentorship role—working closely with Army personnel of all ranks as you share your advice and guidance.

**Location**
- Any Army base across Australia
It’s not possible to guarantee a specific posting location for the duration of your service, therefore you must be willing to relocate.
**Entry Requirements**
- Australian citizen
- Minister of Religion endorsed by an appropriate denominational authority
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in ministry or theology
- At least two years of pastoral experience since ordination
Medical and fitness guidelines also apply.
