About the role
The Quality and Risk Manager is responsible for the Hospital’s clinical quality and risk management program, planning implementation of strategies, policy development, change management, staff development and information management to ensure full compliance against ACSQHC National Standards and ACHS Accreditation requirements. This is a permanent full-time role located at Calvary Hobart.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrated understanding of risk management processes and systems, and their relationship to safe quality patient care and Organisational outcomes
Oversee the implementation of Calvary Health integrated Risk Management strategy by:
Identifying, analysing, monitoring and reporting risks
Managing risks through quality action plans and the Organizational risk register
Ensuring that policies and processes are in place to facilitate the implementation of the strategy
Promote the management of risks by patients, visitors and contractors
Contribute to developing and sustaining a work culture that encourages and supports open risk identification and management
What you bring
**Essential**:
Registration with the Australian Healthcare Practitioner Agency Authority as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional
Extensive knowledge of quality management and accreditation processes applicable to a health care environment
Practices in accordance with ACSQHC National standards (and any other relevant standards to area of practice)
**Knowledge of Risk management/quality including**:
Incident reporting systems
Mortality and morbidity review
Complaints management
Adverse event investigation and follow up
Root cause analysis investigate/adverse/sentinel event investigation
Risk register
ACQSHC National Standards
Knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management
Evidence of Covid-19 Vaccination
Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
Skills in information analysis and research design
