**About the Organisation**

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more.

**About the Role**

The Festival Operations Managers is responsible for ensuring the 2024 St Kilda Festival has an overall direction in the planning and delivery of the event. The role will oversee resourcing, staffing, contractor management as well as OH&S and management for the festival and facilitate festival stakeholder consultation.

The Festivals Team are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team in this exciting time as events continue to re-emerge. You will have worked across the full production process for live events and festivals and have a strong knowledge of specific operational planning and implementation needed to stage large outdoor music festival style events, particularly in a local government context.

**Duties**:

- Responsible for managing and overseeing all operational elements of the Festival throughout all stages of the event cycle.
- Assist with high-level stakeholder engagement, including emergency management, risk & safety planning, liaison with public transport operators, and council submissions;
- Support the development of festival site planning and operational plan/s;
- Liaise with all Festival departments to ensure operational requirements are identified, resourced, and delivered;
**Skills and Experience**
- Strong event and production management experience.
- Solid understanding of technical production required for staging outdoor music festivals.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Current Certification in ‘Provide First Aid’ desirable
