You will join us as a Community and Events Coordinator in our small friendly, collaborative Community and Events team based at our Jandakot office.
This permanent, full-time role suits a creative and enthusiastic event coordinator who can deliver exceptional service.
What You Will Do
The focus of the Community and Event Coordinator will be to ensure the smooth delivery of tailored programs, activities and events across ATCO’s business units in Australia, including the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen. The role requires a strong community engagement focus and an ability to work with internal and external collaborators.
The position will work closely with the Senior Advisor of Community and Events.
Your contribution and responsibilities
- Support the Senior Advisor Community and Events in delivering events, community initiatives, and programs across ATCO Australia.
- Create lasting relationships with external collaborators that contribute to building awareness and interest in ATCO’s community engagement and corporate sponsorship initiatives.
- Support coordination and execution of all corporate and community events across ATCO’s business units.
- Ensure all events are delivered efficiently, profitably and within budget whilst providing the highest level of customer service and attention to detail.
- Support the Senior Advisor Community and Events where required by coordinating the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen Adventures with Natural Gas Schools Program calendar and booking system.
- Facilitate the Blue Flame Kitchen Adventures with Natural Gas Schools Program, as required
- Ensure the Blue Flame Kitchen, including the facility and all equipment, food product and related information and materials, is maintained in line with quality and hygiene standards.
- Conceptualise and assist in coordinating new initiatives that further promote and grow ATCO’s community investment programs and customer initiatives, including the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen.
- Contribute to developing current and new materials for the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen and other community investment initiatives, including photography and written content for digital channels.
- Any other duties as required.
What you will bring
- Education background in events, community liaison, education, hospitality or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience in event coordination and execution.
- Ability to successfully build, manage and develop positive working relationships with collaborators.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Excellent computer literacy skills
- Ability to work well in a team and to show initiative and meet deadlines whilst working with mínimal supervision.
- Highly organised with proven time management skills and demonstrates a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience working with children in a classroom environment
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Card and First Aid Certificate.
