An excellent opportunity exists for a Medical Receptionist to join our specialist orthopaedic practice. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist for a full-time role.

**Duties & responsibilities**:

- Open & close clinic as per set procedure
- Greet patients and other callers in the practice in a courteous manner
- To answer telephone calls promptly and courteously
- To make appointments for patients following set procedures
- To issue patients invoices/receipts and bulk bill as required
- To enter and update patient data
- Scanning documents, sorting incoming and outgoing mail
- Manage patient requests, liaising with doctors directly regarding patient clinical queries
- To undertake other duties as required along with other administrative duties

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- Have at least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Understanding of Medicare item codes
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Word,Excel and Outlook
- Experience with medical software ideally Genie
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Capable self starter with the ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and effective manner
- High standard of professionalism and ethical decision making
- Honesty, reliability and a high standard of integrity
- Sound time management skills
- Attention to detail quality and accuracy
- Ability to act with tact and discretion maintaining the highest level of confidentiality

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Christmas bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- HURSTVILLE, NSW 2220: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service (preferred)
- Medical admin (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
