About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Operations Manager, works collaboratively with the Senior Registrar to manage all court operations and is responsible for providing leadership to all staff employed within the court complex. This role is also responsible for managing the registry functions, the maintenance and security of all court building and facilities. It therefore requires knowledge of the administrative requirements of all jurisdictions, operational management experience and sound judgement.
About you
You will have an extensive working knowledge of court protocols and procedures and significant experience in management and team leadership in a complex judicial environment with competing demands. Strong ability to manage, motivate and lead staff and remain responsive to the shifting demands of the operational environment. Ability to identify, define, initiate and implement solutions to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery. Effective stakeholder management and relationship building skills are critical to the success of the role.
