Bottom Line? We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and accurate Finance Assistant to join our team full time at Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour and will also support the team at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport. Reporting to our Manager of Finance & Business Support you will be comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and suppliers. In return, we’ll put our financial operations and the security of our hotel assets in your expert hands.

**Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be**:

- Support the Manager of Finance and Business Support with the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel including reporting requirements
- Ensure the smooth operating of the Hotel's Accounts Payable & Receivable supported by offshore processing team
- Payroll reporting and financial analysis
- Act as the gatekeeper of the hotel’s financial transactions
- Uphold IHG standards with contributions to internal controls and support a constant drive for continued improvement in financial performance
- Embedding high standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement into your day-to-day interactions.
- Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolution

**What We need from you**:

- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce preferable
- Experience handling accounts receivable & accounts payable or Guest accounts in a Front Office based role
- Good understanding of hotel operations and experience working within the Hospitality Industry would be preferred
- Experience with Property Management Systems such as Opera is also preferred
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, possessing a high attention to detail and communications skills
- Tech-savvy, able to adapt and learn new systems and software
- Managing multiple stakeholders is part of the role, so the ability to work collaboratively, as well as autonomously at times, is a must
- Rights to legally work full time in Australia
