**About the Role**
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the practice owner to facilitate and drive business planning, risk management, financial, HR, Quality Improvement, IT, and compliance systems, upholding high standards of care and a sustainable business model.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our culturally diverse patient base.
Undertake regular risk assessments in the areas of financial services, human resources, facilities, clinical services and patient services.
- Maintain positive relationships with third-parties, vendors and key stakeholders and ensure practice complies with all contractual obligations.
- Maintain primary responsibility for the practice’s electronic systems and computer security, in consultation with our external IT contractor.
- Maintain awareness of current and new legislation to ensure the practice is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including industrial and employment law, workplace health and safety requirements, privacy obligations, and taxation responsibilities.
- Ensure relevant personnel are kept informed and changes are made to systems and procedures as required.
- Fill in for reception when required to cover leave.
- Carefully monitor billing with adept use of systems, including Medicare, WorkCover, TAC, NDIS, and private billing.
- Coordinate ongoing quality improvement initiatives, including maintaining accreditation and updating clinic policies and procedures.
**Required Qualifications and Qualities**
- Demonstrated leadership by example, with strong problem-solving and team management skills
- Proven experience in general practice management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Xero (or similar)
- Experience with Best Practice (or similar software)
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Certificate III/IV in Practice Management, Business Administration (Medical) or similar
- Familiarity with software such as Cubiko, PracticeHub, HotDoc, Automed, and/or Surgical Partners
- Experience with tenders, grants, and quality improvement activities
