**About the Role**
As the Graduate Research Examinations Officer, you will provide expert advice and high-quality customer-focused service and administration to support and contribute the ongoing success of the management of the University’s graduate research examinations. This is a complex, very sensitive and highly confidential area and you must be able to inform and guide external examiners, graduate researchers, professional staff and the academic community on relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and outcomes, and supervise effective administration of the examinations cycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Monitor the progress of examinations and liaise with Chairs of Examiners as required. For example, follow up or intervene where necessary to minimize delays in the examinations
- Ensure that graduate researchers submitted for examination meet the University’s policies and procedures and that enrolment changes on the student system are completed promptly and accurately

The Graduate Research Team are seeking an individual who is an excellent communicator and can build professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from all diversities. Strong attention to detail is essential. You thrive in a fast-paced working environment and can complete tasks within competing deadlines and to a high standard. You will have the aptitude for understanding policies, procedures and guidelines which govern the University’s graduate research degrees.

You will also have:

- A tertiary qualification with relevant experience in a similar administrative role or an equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience
- The capacity to adapt quickly to changes and in supporting the implementation of policy, processes, and system changes
- A high level of competence and accuracy in the use of computer systems and the capacity to quickly become proficient in new systems
