The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) is an independent statutory authority which regulates Victoria's gambling industry. The organisation licenses, informs and educates, monitors and enforces the gambling industry through a risk-based approach to regulation. The opportunity
The Technical Evaluations team's primary responsibility is the assessment of submissions in relation to the approval of gambling products and systems used by gambling industry participants, and the assessment of other required legislative technical approvals regarding the conduct of gaming in the State. The team also provides technical advice to the Gambling & Casino Divisions, and the broader VGCCC, in relation to technical operations of the industry.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, manage, investigate and respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders of a low to medium level of complexity.
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers, testers, licensees and key industry stakeholders to better identify issues and risks, and gather industry intelligence.
- Assist in the building and implementation of processes to perform ongoing risk assessments of EGMs submitted for approval (technical and/or responsible gambling focused), and those approved, to ensure regulatory risks are highlighted and assessed, and recommendations for mitigation made and considered.
- Ensure all procedures undertaken in the conduct of this role are documented in a timely and accurate manner.
