**Position purpose**:To provide case work related supports to care teams and work

alongside the Operations Manager in progressing casework tasks in

achieving case plan goals.

**Primary responsibilities**:
The Casework Coordinator will provide case work related supports to care teams and have a high

level of oversight of all children and young people within our program area.

The Casework Coordinator is required to uphold and model the Aspire Homes values and Codes of

Conduct and ensure compliance with the relevant NSW legislations that govern out-of-home care

service delivery.

The Casework Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Operations Manager and clinician to

monitor the use of approved therapeutic supports in the home, and work toward agreed goals and

outcomes for each child or young person.

The Casework Coordinator will support Team Leaders to schedule, action and review the daily

requirements of each child and young person and work toward their permanency goals.

The Casework Coordinator will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members,

children or young people, and work collaboratively with other agencies alongside Operations

Manager.

The Casework Coordinator will complete case coordination audits and coordinate aspects of case

management.

The Casework Coordinator will engage in complex problem solving and participate in individual

supervision.

The Casework Coordinator will attend relevant training and development to support them in their

role inclusive of individual supervision held with Management.

The Casework Coordinator will liaise with Senior Managers to provide a layer of oversight related to

the financial plans and approvals within a child or young persons case plan.

**Operational Responsibilities**:
The Casework Coordinator is the operational link between Teams Leaders and House Managers

with Operations Manager.

They will be accountable to ensure that:

- They provide direct casework support to Team Leaders and House Managers to uphold the

case plan goals and objectives for each child and young person.
- Daily responsibilities, expectations and reporting requirements are met.
- Will complete allocated administration tasks directly related to casework.
- Casework Coordinator will adhere to approved financial goals as set out in the child or young

persons case plan.
- Conduct matters are reported, addressed and escalated to Senior Managers
- Young people have a voice and participate in decisions about their lives.
- Casework support will receive regular reflective supervision and engage in training and

development.

**Qualifications**: Bachelor’s degree in social work, social science, community welfare,

youth work or a related discipline and a minimum of two (2) years’

experience in child protection, out of home care or provision of
