**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is a newly created opportunity to join an established and growing team on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract with a view to permanence. Directly support the Investment Operations and Compliance team and senior investment business leaders to manage and support the investment operations and compliance frameworks of the business while also assisting with two critical projects.

A broad role that assists with operational due diligence of external fund managers, compiling reports for annual attestations of external managers, conducting fund and mandate compliance including pre and post trade compliance and reviewing IMAs as well as supporting two large projects throughout the year.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Monitoring of limits, restrictions and investment guidelines sourced from IMAs and investment related policies;
- Following up to completion issues identified through pre and post trade monitoring processes with internal and or external stakeholders;
- Compiling and producing exposure risk reports and assisting in compiling data and reporting to internal committees;
- Implementation of large data sets into Excel and other investment systems supporting annual fund attestations and other critical project work;
- Setting up pre and post trade guidelines within in-house investment system in consultation with the investment team;
- Conducting regular reviews of the custodian’s investment compliance rules to ensure they are in line with the IMAs and fit for purpose;
- Developing, implementation and documentation of team’s procedures, business rules and processes;
- Assisting the team manager with internal policies reviews and updates;
- Supporting the broader team needs by helping and sharing workloads during periods of high demand; AND
- Undertake any other related projects or initiatives as requested by the manager and senior manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Proven experience in investment operations and/or audit and compliance roles within a custodian, superannuation or funds management organisations.
- Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables IF/VLOOKUP formulas;
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Law, or a similar discipline required;
- Highly developed understanding of the Australian and international funds management industry and investment markets;
- Deep knowledge of the compliance and regulatory requirements;
- A strong ability to multitask and work to a deadline, highly motivated with a strong work ethic;
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, while willing to work wholistically with the client teams to achieve company goals,
