The Opportunity

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Investment Compliance to manage the end-to-end mandate compliance process. This key role includes overseeing the BAU arrangement with our custodian, conducting investigations, and ensuring timely escalation and reporting of breaches.

The Senior Analyst will also handle various ‘Total Fund’ monitoring activities, including asset allocation, sanctions and prohibited securities screening, beneficial ownership, and treasury management reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mandate Compliance: Perform daily monitoring, investigate compliance flags, and work with our custodian to maintain high service levels.
  • Total Fund Monitoring: Conduct monitoring on asset allocation, prohibited securities, sanctions screening, beneficial ownership, and treasury management.
  • Business Unit Support: Maintain documentation, contribute to risk assessments, and support team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to tools, models, and processes.

About You

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Commerce are required. Postgraduate or professional qualifications are highly valued.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in investment compliance across multiple asset classes. Proficiency in investment rule coding, particularly with Aladdin, is a plus. A solid understanding of investment principles, financial instruments, and ESG/sanctions screening is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills. Experience with VBA, SQL, or Python is a plus.
